Demand Response continues to grow across BC, and new tools are making it easier for organizations to identify opportunities and participate.
Working with BC Hydro, our team has been supporting the development of resources designed to help building owners and operators understand where demand response can fit within their operations. New industrial and commercial sector-specific guides focus on opportunities and examples from manufacturing, food and beverage, wood and lumber, agricultural, and many others, helping organizations identify actions they can take during demand response events.
BC Hydro has also introduced a Demand Response Opportunity Assessment that helps organizations evaluate their facilities, identify demand response strategies, and prioritize measures that align with operational requirements.
New program enhancements include:

- Demand Response opportunity assessments
- Improved event notifications
- A participant performance dashboard
- Expanded incentives for energy storage systems
As electricity demand grows across the province, demand response is becoming an increasingly valuable tool for improving grid resilience while helping organizations reduce costs and generate new revenue opportunities.
