When modernizing its BC branches, Canada's oldest bank trusts Prism to deliver critical electrical and mechanical engineering services

Over the past 15 years, BMO has successfully strived to update its BC branches in Vancouver, the Interior, and Northern BC, as well as on Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast. BMO's extensive modernization of its BC locations requires ongoing engineering consulting services.
Prism is a key consultant on much of the renovation work, providing electrical and mechanical design services while working closely with the architect. Prism's services include the following:
- working with the design team on concept designs that make the best use of available space
- advising on the use of innovative technology
- providing mechanical and electrical computer-aided design (CAD) drawings
- carrying out reviews of work completed
- producing CAD as-built drawings to BMO standards
Prism also helped implement energy management upgrades at over 50 BMO branches in BC and provided technical assistance to help resolve occupant complaints related to ventilation, air conditioning and lighting at Vancouver branches. Among the recommendations made by Prism was advice on how to correct temperature swings, improve airflow, and deal with lighting levels and glare.
In recognition for its leadership stance, BMO has appeared every year on Corporate Knights magazine's Best 50 Corporate Citizens list from 2003 to 2010 (including a #1 ranking in 2005). As well, through their ongoing efforts, BMO became carbon neutral relative to energy consumption and transportation emissions) in August 2010.
